How can I honor my daughter’s death while also celebrating my anniversary two days later?

I have a difficult couple of days coming up and I'm hoping some people here might have ideas or perspectives I haven't considered.

August 29th is the anniversary of my daughter's death as well as her birthday. We lost her at 38 weeks.

Two days later, August 31st, is my wedding anniversary with my wife.

I'm struggling with how to approach those two dates because emotionally they feel like they're on completely opposite ends of the spectrum.

I want to do something meaningful to honor and remember my daughter. At the same time, I love my wife and our life together, and I don't want our anniversary to become a day that we feel guilty for celebrating or enjoying.

I'm not necessarily looking for a way to combine grief and celebration into the same event. I'm more wondering if there's something we could do over those few days that gives both of those parts of our lives the space they deserve.

For anyone who has experienced something similar—especially losing someone close to an important or otherwise happy date—how have you handled it?

How do you honor someone you lost while still allowing yourself to celebrate the people and life that you still have?

I'd really appreciate any ideas.
