Go back to school or keep trying to job hop?

24F, Ontario, Canada.

I graduated in 2024 with my BSc in Psychology as I had every intention of pursuing grad school or a healthcare job. Last year of my degree I had no desire to go to grad school (specifically for therapy) and it was already so competitive.

Once I graduated I just needed a job so I took the first one I got as a customer service rep at an insurance company, and now I am at the same company as a claims processor. Although the company is great, my job is chill, and I love my work life balance, I am barely making 60k.

As I am looking to increase my salary, I am constantly trying to apply to internal roles as well as external positions but am having trouble landing interviews due to my lack of experience. Although I could stay in my role to get more experience, I’m struggling with this low salary and I need a higher paying job.

When I first graduated, I thought I’d do a year of school to get my HR certificate and try to land an entry level HR job as I did online school. But HR seems so saturated and I have had no luck getting an entry level job and don’t think the certificate will guarantee me a job once I’m done.

I’ve even applied to healthcare programs. I applied to occupational therapy school (2 years masters), but also crazy competitive and I unfortunately did not get in. I did apply to Medical Radiology Tech (MRT) program and got in, but ultimately chose to decline it as I didn’t know if I wanted to commit to another 3 years of school.

Essentially, I have no real passions when it comes to my career. I really just care about my salary and work life balance.

TLDR; the advice I am looking for is if I should go back to school for something very specific, like in healthcare, that will guarantee me a decent salary once I graduate, OR do I keep trying to get a new job within my insurance field?

Also, if recommending the second option, would it best to do a certificate or course to help me out?

Thank you!!
