Battery leak?

Greetings Zaslavians. I have a new issue here in the Zone. I have hooked up a make shift generator using the local population, and have hooked it up to a battery. However, the generator produces power and loses its stored power, but does not supply power to my battery. Theoretically this set up should allow me power as long as I.....convince my new friend to make power, yet I have no power currently. Any ideas? (Basically my dwarf generator AND my turbines are producing power, buy none of that power makes it to the battery, and ive made sure its hooked up properly. Literally 0 possible power rn)
