Japan trip flight cancelled and amended

Hi, I booked with loveholidays and they cancelled one of my flights for December and qatars offered a change flight, I don’t like them plus there’s a long layover, what’s my rights in regards to this I have asked loveholidays for a refund, should this be straight forward considering the circumstances plus I was never made aware?

Anyone got any idea when it comes to rights in regards to this!
