Any stringed instrument enjoyers want to pipe up ? I've a question

I'm looking for a small portable stringed instrument to learn. No ukuleles. My problem is I have a high pitched singing voice and I want an instrument that's got some nice low frequencies to it. I fantasize about a mini harp but between my voice and a harps twinkle we would reach pitches only dogs can hear. I have a gripe with the acoustic guitar, altho part of me feels tempted by an acoustic bass ? God idk. My idea would somehow be a mini harp that has the same amount of octaves as a traditional Irish harp but is somehow half the size. DOES THIS EXIST, IN SOME SHAPE OR FORM, IN THIS BEAUTIFUL WORLD ?
