Am I going too slow for CFA Level 1 Feb 2027?
I started preparing for CFA Level 1 about 2 months ago and honestly I’m starting to feel like I’m behind. I’ve finished Quant and Econ so far, and I’m currently revising Quant, but I feel like I don’t remember shit 😭 Especially with Quant, I feel like I understood it when I studied it but now that I’m coming back to it, I feel pretty weak.
My approach so far has been finishing one subject completely before moving on. I go through the material and then do questions from UWorld, Kaplan and the CFA LES practice questions. But doing all of these alongside each subject is taking me sooo long. It took me around 18–20 days just to finish Econ with all the QBank questions, and after 2 months I’ve only finished 2 subjects.
I’m sitting for the February 2027 exam so I’m getting a little stressed about how long everything is taking. I also don’t know if I’m being too thorough with the QBanks or if this is actually a good way to study.
For anyone who has passed Level 1, especially if you prepared in a similar timeframe, how did you go about it? Should I just focus on getting through all the subjects first and then come back for proper revision and QBanks? Or is it better to do questions as I go?
Also, is it normal to forget this much when you move on from a subject? I’d really appreciate any advice on how I can speed up without feeling like I’m sacrificing understanding. I especially want to get better at Quant because right now I feel pretty weak in it.
