how do I start freelancing

Greetings, i just made reddit account for asking this.

I am a Chartered accountancy student and want to start earning. I suppose freelancing is the way to go, but I know very less as I lived in a shell till starting this career path. I want to be informed about how I could start, what should I expect and be prepared for, and what should I learn.
I am researching about it online but it feels like summer fever/ daydream, and I want to have a sense of reality, but I have no mentors.

I urge everyone seeing this post to share their ideas, and answers questions that I mentioned, and those which I don't know.
