How to remove raw chicken smell from dishes

Everytime I prep raw chicken, the dishes I use smell eggy/chickeny. I try washing them with soap multiple times but the smell remains. I thought maybe it’s the sponge (and I also don’t want the sponge to transfer smell to other dishes) so I tried washing it using just my hands and soap but it makes no difference. 😭 It’s such a hassle istg
