“The Mistakes Have Nothing to Do With Jehovah”… But It’s Still Jehovah’s Organization

WT Can't Stop Me

I’ve noticed that whenever you point out mistakes or injustices in the organization to PIMIs, one answer comes back constantly:

“Yes, but that has nothing to do with Jehovah.”

Fair enough. But let’s push that reasoning one step further.

If every mistake, injustice or questionable decision has “nothing to do with Jehovah,” at what point are we allowed to consider that the organization itself might have nothing to do with Jehovah either?

What exactly is the acceptable error rate? 30%? 40%? 70%? 😂

Obviously, there is no answer. Within this theological framework, there is basically no amount of error that could ever prove the organization has nothing to do with Jehovah.

Something good happens? Jehovah’s organization.

Something bad happens? Nothing to do with Jehovah.

But if the mistakes don’t count as evidence that the organization is false, why should the good things count as evidence that it’s true?

And ultimately, if evidence isn’t what keeps someone in the organization, then we’re mostly left with the emotional side of belief... where fear and guilt need no evidence to keep someone attached to a framework they’ve learned to find reassuring, however harmful it may be.
