Is a commercial steamer worth it?

I was at a store today and the store assistant used the steamer, it was miraculous - the firmly folded in creases fell out easily and quickly!!!

I hate ironing with a passion but love the crispness of freshly ironed clothes (and ironing is going to become a lil less optional when I go back to work after mat leave).

So - would a stand up commercial steamer replace an at home iron? Am I missing anything? Is it the same temp for any/all fabric?
