Cancelled subscription for limit on monthly titles…
There’s not enough listening hours/books during monthly cycle. Streaming services like Spotify/Netflix/Apple Music allow you to listen to content unrestricted and unlimited during subscription. For a similar cost to those services, to only be allowed to listen to one (or two depending on tier) book a month and then being cut off is not enough. If I was able to listen to as much as I could in a month’s cycle, I would gladly keep my subscription. But the cost of one month’s subscription is comparable to buying one book on sale, hard to label that as a streaming service. It’s more akin to an online digital store. I understand that we can re-listen to previously selected monthly titles, but you could also do that when you purchase a book/audiobook to own. I’m not trying to listen to 20 books a month, but if I selected a shorter title (<15 hours), I’ll finish the book within a week in the car alone; The I have three weeks that I have to wait?? Am I completely in the wrong? I know it’s very beneficial for a lot of people, they have great sales for premium subscriptions, etc. Maybe I’m just not the target demographic for a service like this. Maybe I’m being greedy🤷🏻♂️
