Memorial pattern / item suggestions ?

Hello,

My cousins (brother and sister), are both awaiting newborns with their respective spouses in the coming days / weeks. Our grandmother used to knit a lot and passed away about a year ago, and I would like to knit the babies something with her yarn.

My cousins have been clear on the fact that they don't want comparison between the children (the due dates are the same, and fam had been thinking of them as a duo already), so maybe different items in the same yarn ? I dunno. I'm not necessarily looking for exact pattern recs, moreso ideas of types of items or garments I could make.

Gran had a lot of fingering weight yarn, so I have options.

Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated !
