When is consolidation better than another automation?

Alot of our sales automations only exist to move context or data from one tool into another and they work fine but once you have enough of them the workflow starts needing its own maintenance just to keep everything talking to each other.

At some point adding another integration is basically fixing a problem created by the stack itself. Newer platforms covering more of the workflow in one place make me question how much of that plumbing is even worth keeping.

Automation still makes sense when two systems genuinely need to stay separate but building an entire automation layer just to hold a basic sales process together seems harder to justify now.
