If your Palisade's brakes feel like they give up on rough roads, you are not imagining it. 154 NHTSA complaints describe it and there is no recall.
I went through the NHTSA complaint database for the 2023 to 2025 Palisade, because a lot of owners describe the same thing and get told it is normal.
There are 1,005 complaints filed across those three model years. 397 are logged under service brakes. 204 mention ABS or anti-lock by name, and 154 of those describe it happening on a rough or bumpy surface, gravel, potholes, railroad crossings. The recurring description is the ABS cutting in when it should not, the pedal shuddering, and the vehicle taking noticeably longer to stop than it should.
Among the brake complaints, 18 report a crash and 5 report injuries.
On recalls, there is exactly one brake recall across any of those years and it is not this one. 23V415000 covers 322 vehicles, 2023 only, for a brake booster diaphragm causing a vacuum leak and loss of power assist. Different mechanism, tiny population.
Worth being precise though, because no recall covering it is not the same as nothing existing. Hyundai has reportedly issued technical service bulletins on brake software and hardware for these, though I have not been able to pull the specific numbers. A TSB is not a recall, it does not oblige them to contact you or fix it free at scale. So if a dealer is telling you the behaviour is normal, asking whether a TSB applies to your VIN is a different question from asking about recalls, and worth asking separately.
