Study pal ("book pal") for N1

Hello!! By far my weakest point in the JLPT is 読解 🥲. Even though I read from time to time native content and do practice tests and whatnot it doesn't seem to be enough.

So I thought that it could be a nice idea to have a study pal ("book pal"). We could propose to read a book in Japanese that is interesting to both of us and after a week or so do a voice call and share our thoughts and opinions about that book. This way, we can hold each other accountable about forming a reading habit and also have an enriching discussion. The format would be similar to that of a book club. The book could be either a novel or non-fiction, as long as it suits N1 anything goes really.

This could also be extended to 聴解, where we would agree to listen a podcast for example and later share our thoughts about it.

As it is aimed for N1, the discussions would be in Japanese, so not only we could prepare to JLPT, but also enhance our 会話力 as well.
