Do I need a root canal?

Had a very deep filling sa first molar and it’s been 10+ years na, and hindi masakit. Now nakita nung new dentist ko how deep the filling is, and he’s recommending na i-rct na. Would just like to get some opinions if I need it since yung current filling naman works pa din.
