Is it a sin if i asked for a loan from someone with intrest?

Im in deep need of money, i know someone who land money for a 10% intrest per month, also take something as colletaral damage in case the money wasnt returned, so i have a laptop and few external hard disks worth more than the money i want to ask...

But i also heard that in catholic church, landing money with intrest is a sin, im not sure about the details, so i was asking, is it also a sin on the person who asks this loan?
