Im confused about a breakup

So i've been dating this girl for about 5 months now, and I don't know if we've broken up yet. So in early june I confessed to her, and she said yes, and we became a thing. It's been three months now. A few weeks after we got together I had to go abroad for uni, and i asked her if she wanted to do long distance. She agreed, and for a few months we were long-distance. she has strict parents, so she'd come online at midnight to speak to me, and we'd talk for hours. there were many a time when she'd barely sleep just to speak to me, but then due to personal reasons, I had to come back. and what i would do is meet up with her before and after school. keep in mind she also wrote me a love letter and made me bracelets while i was with her. but one day her parents saw her walking home and found out. and today she sent a vm at school using her friend's phone, talking and laughing. her dad said something about either dating her or studying. and she said she broke up with me, but she was also speaking in a very joking manner. she's offline atm because of her parents, and i'm planning on asking her later tonight or her friend tomorrow whether it means we're done or we're on hiatus. keep in mind i have no friends, and i have nothing going on in my life. what should i do for both scenarios?
