Raising a single male kitten — how do I stop the biting and scratching?
I’m raising a single male kitten and he is FULL of energy 😂🐱 I play with him for more than 3 hours a day, but he still seems to have unlimited energy.
My biggest problem is the biting and scratching. He constantly attacks my hands, feet, and sometimes my hair. When he bites or scratches me, I say “ow!” and “no!”, then stop and try to redirect him to another toy, but it doesn’t seem to work.
I never use my hands as toys, and I have plenty of toys for him. I’m starting to feel like I can’t even sit near him without becoming his next target 😭😂
Is this normal for a single kitten? How did you teach your kitten that human hands and feet are not toys? And does playing with him for hours actually make him calmer, or am I accidentally making him even more excited
Disclaimer: I know some people recommend getting a second kitten, but unfortunately I can’t afford another kitten, so I’m looking for advice on how to manage and properly raise him as a single kitten. Please be kind
