Putting character stats aside, do you think this image is accurate? What would you change and why?

I'm thinking about potentially redesigning most cards in the game as a comprehensive spell audit to make the combat more engaging as a fun project for myself and want to hear feedback from the public before I take on this potentially massive project.

Why am I doing this? I don't like how the state of Wizard101 for the longest time has just been buff and then aoe, repeat, it's really uninteresting and burns me out of the game. And it's not like this is only one school doing this, all schools just perform this gameplay loop forever. I'm also doing this because they keep adding a bunch of effects to cards that are just way overtuned and too niche, so if you can active the niche they're really powerful, but most of the time you'd rather use another card.

I want to bring back school identity in a big way. Playing a different school should feel like a different experience than other school. At the same time, each school should have options unique to that school that offer the player a variety of gameplay options within each school. That's what I'll be aiming to do with this comprehensive spell audit as a test and outlet for myself to do a real deep dive on not only the balancing, but the fun of the game as well, because that's what matters most at the end of the day.

So let me know, and dm me if you have any ideas or anything you'd like to contribute to give me a more informed position of what the community actually wants to see. Thanks! 🙂👍
