La Fortuna + Nosara adventure recommendations? Ziplining, canyoning & ATV

Hi! Planning a Costa Rica trip with my 9 year old Dec 20-29th and would love some firsthand recommendations for adventure companies.

For La Fortuna, I’m looking at:

• Sky Adventures for ziplining
• Maquique Adventure for canyoning
• Desafío Adventure Company for canyoning

Has anyone done these recently? I’d especially love opinions on Maquique vs. Desafío for canyoning and whether Sky Adventures is the best choice for ziplining, or if there’s another company you’d recommend.

I’ll be travelling with my 9-year-old son, who is adventurous but can be a little nervous at first, so I’m looking for something exciting and memorable while still being really well-run and safety-focused. We definitely don't need the easiest/kiddie option though!

Also looking for recommendations in Nosara for an ATV tour that actually goes somewhere worthwhile, ideally to a waterfall, rather than just riding ATVs around for a couple of hours.

Would love specific companies/tours you’ve personally used and whether you’d book them again. Thanks!
