PD130 starts poorly and has a wobbly idle when warm after doing timing.
As the title says. My Audi A3 has developed some new problems since I had timing done
It seems to largely randomly start poorly but especially when warm it develops an idle problem. No vibrations, nothing but it starts jumping up and down 50 RPM.
I noticed in VCDS that the idle injected quantity is rather high, no?
The engine has 450k km done. And sometimes after a long drive it starts rtandomly throwing up errors on cylinders 1 or 4 and I get a permanent G62 short to ground error. Could the temp sensor be causing this? It presumably works, or atleast it seems to since it shows the coolant temp (though it is weird that it is exactly the same as fuel temp? Is the engine taking temperature from the fuel temp sensor?)
Otherwise the engine runs fine and has no performance issues. It pulls beautifully, no vibrations.
I tried lots of tunes for this. Had stock then went with a professional map and nothing fixed both the poor start and bad idle.
I am starting to believe this might be an electrical issue. I cleared all grounds and measured teh alternator and everything should be good... so... I am at a loss for words.
