Welcome to the Na’vi Design Archive 🌿
Welcome!
This community is dedicated to studying, documenting, and discussing the canon visual design of the Avatar universe across the films, games, comics, concept art, and official production material.
Here you’ll find and can share:
- Design sheets
- Costume studies
- Jewellery and adornment breakdowns
- Hair and braid studies
- Weapons and prop references
- Body paint and markings
- Clan-specific design
- Materials and craft analysis
- Concept art
- Production references
- Canon-based reconstructions
- Reference requests and design discussion
The focus here is canon design.
Fan-created analysis, diagrams, moodboards, reconstructions, and design sheets are welcome when they are studying an existing official Avatar design. OCs, original clans, fan redesigns, and invented costumes belong elsewhere.

A few principles to keep in mind:
Canon is the subject.
Interpretation is welcome, but please distinguish it from confirmed information.
Sources matter.
Credit artists, designers, books, games, films, comics, and production material wherever possible.
Corrections are welcome.
This is an archive. Finding better evidence is a feature, not a failure.
Be curious, not cruel.
Debate designs, sources, reconstructions, and methods without attacking the people behind them. Harassment and dogpiling are not welcome here.
The goal is to build a searchable visual archive where tiny details don’t vanish into the background of a frame.
So if you’ve ever paused Avatar to inspect a braid, bead, blade, necklace, weave, prop, or piece of body paint...
you’re in the right place. 💙
Welcome to the archive.
