A new Russian civil war novel - told from the perspective of the Whites

For those of you who read 'The White Guard' and 'And Quiet Flows the Don', there's a new fictionalised account of the White retreat from Omsk during the Russian civil war.

Told from the perspective of a Russian émigré in 1960s Sofia, the book recalls his time spent in the Siberian Army and the loss of his family, as he comes to terms with his loneliness, isolation and ill health in Bulgaria.

It's called The Siberian Crane.
