33M - Seeking Hansa for my Praful, Maya for my Indravadhan, Eve for my Wall-E
If you got the title, congratulations. Your cultural literacy is already attractive.
For some reason, Morticia and Gomez have become the default 'relationship goals'. They're lovely, but they're also fantasies; stylized, glorified, synthetic.
Give me Hansa and Praful any day. Or Maya and Indravadhan. They don't sell romance, they sell companionship that is ridden with conflicts, but with an unwavering acceptance of what and who the other person is.
A companionship where you could bicker one moment, laugh the next, and never once feel the need to question whose team you were on.
About me.
I'm a writer. Professionally employed as a content strategist, aspiring to be a novelist. I ask too many questions, developed the muscle of noticing tiny things other people ignore, and have an unfortunate habit of turning random conversations into substack articles in my head.
History fascinates me. Psychology fascinates me. Civilizations rising and collapsing fascinate me.
Stephen King, cricket tactics, Vedic philosophy, everlasting fallacies, Roman emperors, obscure podcasts, why humans keep repeating the same mistakes every few centuries, AR Rahman, Beatles, humans carrying entropy and courage at the same time. These are just some of the tabs that run on my head, all with their own flowcharts.
Here's what I'm hoping to find.
Consistency, accountability and curiosity.
I'm hoping to find someone who believes conversations don't always need to end in an agreement. Someone who will be meme dumping at 2 PM and existential questions at 2 AM. Someone who has endured a life that has made them independent, and still carries a child like hope in the idea of "us".
Some things that may be a dealbreaker to majority of women here -
I'm physically challenged. I use crutches to walk. While I am completely aware that it changes logistics, years of having a fullfilled dating life has told me that it doesn't change possibilities. You'll for sure beat me in a race. But I will absolutely destroy you in useless trivia.
I've been blessed being born to parents who spent a lifetime making my life easier. It has made me deeply aware that love is less about grand gestures, and more about someone remembering you might take a minute more to climb the stairs. Love is not a noun, but a verb.
I might be looking for a centaur shaped unicorn, but when you believe in magic, you don't judge yourself for having an eye out for it.
If this somehow reaches the right person...
Slide into my DMs and tell me the last thing that changed your worldview. Tell me about the last book that refused to leave your head.
Or tell me why Maya and Indravadan are relationship goals.
Worst case? Two strangers might end up having an interesting conversation. Best case? Maybe, years from now, someone asks us what love looks like, and it would suspiciously look like two goofy idiots one upping each other on their bad jokes.
