I Purchased a VIVO X300 pro in May 2026, exclusively for photography purpose, i have another phone for regular usage.

In late May, i went to visit a nearby park, it wasn't humid or rainy, but after clicking pictures for 10 minutes, the phone got a bit heated, which is normal in summer but the primary camera lens of the Vivo X300 pro developed internal fogging, and after 2 mintutes, pictures clicked with it were almost invisible,

I switched to the telephoto lens, and after 5 mintues, it too became same, after that the ultawide followed it, none of the back camera were usable, but after i stopped using the device the fog disappeared after 15 -20 minutes, i ignored it thinking it will be a one time incident.

In June i went to attend a wedding, and the same happened after clicking pictures for 10 minutes,

this repeated in july once, and the same happened in August when i tried to click pitures on my Daughters birthday inside our house, it wasn't raining outside, it kept happening everytime then whenever i used camera for more than 10 minutes.

Fast forward to late August, getting frustrated by the fact that i was only able to click pictures or videos with this Premium device for 5-10 minutes, before giving it rest for next 20 minutes,

I decided to visit a Vivo service centre, expecing a quick solution, as Vivo is known for its aftersales service.

I reached there at 12:15 pm, and explained and shown them the issue, the staff was polite, but first she refused to inspect the device stating that this is a weather related common issue, but when insisted that i am literally unable to use the device for the sole purpose i purchased it, she agreed to inspect and asked me to wait as there were many device already under inspection, which was ok.

I was called at 3:45 pm, now a technician was checking the device,

He started saying the same thing that this is a very common issue and is happening because of weather and we cannot control the weather, etc, etc

Then i said its happening from May itself, and its not happening with My friends X300 pro, under exact same condition at same place.

Then to my surprise, another staff, brought some Printed service guidelines to show me,

Where it was written that this issue is very common with around approx 20 vivo models, including the X300, X300 Pro, and even the X300 ultra,

and it was mentioned that this was because of weather and present in almost all IP 68/69 rated Vivo phones, they don't recognise this as an issue and no solution was specified.

Its very shocking if this is really the policy of Vivo.

After i insisted that i am unable to use camera of my new Premium device for more than 10 minutes, and i am not leaving without a solution, they agreed to inspect the device by opening it and resealing with adhesive, but they didn't have the adhesive available so they said they will inform me when its available.

But they clearly said that if the issue persists even after opening and inspecting and resealing the device, they won't be able to do anything as the company doesn't recognise this as an issue.

I have not used the device much, as this is not my primary device, and i am not feeling comfortable with opening of my brand new Premium device, when the technician themselves are not sure if this will fix the issue.

I don't know how can a global brand like Vivo doesn't recognise this as a issue, when its repeating everytime the phone gets heated, making the cameras of this device literally unusable, which is the main selling point of this device.

At this point i am feeling cheated by purchasing a "Premium" smartphone from "Vivo" which was presumably known for its great aftersales service, but in my case, i am unable to use my new Premium device for the purpose i purchased it, and the company is refusing to acknowledge this as an issue, this wasn't expected from vivo.

I will update here what happens next, because this cannot be just because of weather as its happening evertime, everywhere, after using the cameras for 10-15 minutes, making the cameras of the device completely unusable everytime.
