How would you react if your partner said that since they earn more, you should do more household chores?
Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well!
Something happened irl recently that put me in a kind of messy situation got me thinking about financial dynamics and domestic labor. I’m old enough to know what is fair and what isn't. I just want to know how would you handle this situation.
Dynamics are different in every household. How would you approach the situation if you were in these positions too?
If you earn more: Would you expect your partner to do more chores, or how would you balance it?
If you earn less: How would you respond if your partner brought this up to you?If you already do the unpaid labor: How do you address the argument that financial contributions outweigh your physical and mental effort at home?
I won't make the post long by giving details, if you have any questions I can answer them in the comments. Also if possible I would like to know how will you handle it if you are the third person here. Please don't say anything like "I will just mind my own business". Sometimes that's just not the option...
