Realistic to work remotely from overseas for an Aussie firm long-term?

Accountant in Sydney (6 years exp), finishing my CA, on lower six figures. I want to eventually move back to my home country and keep working remotely for an Aussie employer. Firm already has offshore staff and remote workers, so it’s not unheard of for them.

Couple of questions:

**•**	Has anyone actually negotiated permanent overseas-remote with an Aussie firm?

**•**	Realistic to keep most of your Aussie pay, or does it get cut to local rates?

**•**	How do you frame it so you’re seen as a valued employee who relocated, not just an offshore hire?
