**Key changes in AmneziaWG v3:**

📌**Handshake protection:** Secured traffic against detection during the handshake phase.
📌**Randomization:** Expanded parameter sets for pre-shared key randomization.
📌**AI block evasion:** Added protection against behavioral AI analysis.

Instead of just hiding individual VPN markers, version 3 reshapes the entire connection profile to bypass TSPU and signature analysis. Publications like [TechRadar](https://www.techradar.com/vpn/vpn-privacy-security/amnezia-vpn-improves-anti-censorship-protocol-as-russia-escalates-anti-vpn-regime), [TechNadu](https://www.technadu.com/amneziawg-3-0-responds-to-russias-intensifying-vpn-blocking/633890/), and [DoVPN](https://dovpn.com/amneziawg-3-0-russia-vpn-blocking/) have already covered these upgrades in their reviews.

❗️ **Important for self-hosted users:** To upgrade to AmneziaWG 3.1, update your app to [version 5.0.1.5](https://amnezia.org/en/blog/amnezia-vpn-5-0-1-5-supports-amneziawg-3-0?utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=blog_r_up5015_2708) and regenerate your keys and config files.
