How do you think TES 6 will handle Skyrim Civil War outcome?
And what you do if you were Bethesda writers? We know Bethesda likes to keep side quest stuff vague to make players feel like their choices mattered. The civil war is way too consequential to just never mention again. The easiest solution is just to pick a winner. Would they do that though? Depends if they want to invalidate players choices and they really don’t ever do that with new games. I think Ulfric winning would be more interesting but that’s another story.
The only two ways they could handle it imo are either having TES 6 take place simultaneously as the events of Skyrim, or something so catastrophic similar to the red mountain, that it literally doesn’t not matter who won. A Thalmor invasion immediately after an empire or stormcloak victory? Bethesda likely wouldn’t ever do this, but if closing or interacting with the time wound actually did deactivate the snow tower, an event like what happened with red mountain could occur. Perhaps the sea of ghosts swallows the entire province of Skyrim or atleast alot of it shortly after that, pretty much making the civil war outcome pointless. In TES 6 you climb the dragontail mountains only to see a nothing but sea covering most of the province. That’s me having fun though, they wouldn’t ever do that just to explain a side quest ending.
What are your thoughts and theories? How would you write the outcome of the civil war by the time of TES 6? How many years ahead would you even set the story of TES 6?
Thanks for reading!
