2026 Aprilia RS 457 GP Replica – owner experiences and known issues?
I’m currently looking for an A2 bike, and the 2026 Aprilia RS 457 GP Replica is probably my first choice at the moment.
I’ve done some research already and came across a few discussions about the regular RS 457 having some weaker points, especially the stock brakes and tires. From what I understand, the 2026 GP Replica comes with improved brake pads, so I’m especially interested in hearing from people who actually own or have ridden the 2026 model.
What has your experience been like so far?
I’d especially like to know about:
- Braking performance and brake feel
- Stock tires, especially in cold or wet conditions
- Reliability
- Electronics or warning light issues
- Battery problems
- Any other recurring problems or annoying things you’ve noticed
I’ve also read some reports about earlier RS 457 models having issues like battery drain, “Urgent Service” warnings, bikes pulling to one side, and in some cases timing chain tensioner or engine-related problems.
For those with a 2026 RS 457 or 2026 GP Replica: have these issues been fixed, or are any of them still showing up?
I’m not looking for a track-only bike. It would mainly be used for normal road riding, twisty roads and occasional longer rides.
Would you buy the 2026 RS 457 GP Replica again?
And if you had to choose again for an A2 bike, would you still pick it over something like a Ninja 500, CBR500R, KTM RC 390 or CFMoto 450SR?
Thanks!
