Kidney sharing scheme UK

Hi. Did anyone here experienced donating a kidney? I’m on a kidney sharing scheme and I will donate a kidney to somebody this coming September so that my loved one can receive one as well. We’ve done all the checks, all the cross matching, and all systems go. I’m nervous, a bit scared even, but I’m happy to do it. Any advice?
