Is this the most wholesome rejection ever?

#Disclaimer: I understand that every rejection isn't gonna be this wholesome and a polite 'NO' works just as well.

So about a week ago, I had briefly come back home to Mumbai for some work and was traveling in metro.

It was middle of the day and metro wasn't crowded at all.

I locked eyes with this stunning tatted girl wearing Black on Black and I didn't want to let this chance slip by.

As usual in a scenario like this, I'd have went upto her and talked however there was a caveat. I had just returned from some really physically demanding work and I was wearing shitty clothes and I was sweating profusely, aching for a shower. Worst possible timing, i know.

I applied all the deo I had and went upto her, asking her about her ankle tattoo and how it looked rad af but I didn't understand what was it about?

She explained it enthusiastically and she was very warm and nice, we spoke through the entire trip and she asked me for a charger since her phone had died but I didn't have one. I guess without phone; people are just more willing to talk. Fellow commuters were giving us looks because I guess we were being lowkey obnoxious while talking🤭.

We both were so engrossed in conversation that we lost track of time and at the last minute she realised it's her stop so I asked her for her number and she quickly entered her number in my phone before exiting and we parted ways and she waved a cute bye from the window. I let out a little dance step out of happiness.

Later that night, I messaged her only to realise that she had given me the wrong number lol.

#However, she was so nice about it even though she didn't have to be. A 'No' would have sufficed but perhaps she noticed that people were looking and didn't want me to be publicly embarrassed. This just shows how kind and empathetic she was.

#Also, just in case if you're reading this: I remember your favorite song: *Jaane tu ya jaane Na maane tu ya jaane Na* ki You're a 10/10 in every sense, have a beautiful singing voice and I almost feel bad for your ex husband that you guys ended up divorcing.
