Orange powders

Hello, I’m relatively new to owning isopods, I have a few orange powder isopods for my snail enclosure, I had them established in the enclosure before I got my snails so they could make themselves at home, however I feel like they’re not comfortable, I originally just had coconut fiber but learned it’s not the best for them or snails, bought specialized isopod soil because someone said they used it for their snails too, mixed it about 40/60, but they stay hidden in the coconut hide I have, they don’t eat the shrimp food I put out, I keep it humid and they have a lot of area to hide but they just won’t budge? Am I doing something wrong?
