## Looking for advice on where to move in Dubai

Hi everyone,

I currently live in **Al Qusais** with my husband. I recently got a job in **Jebel Ali** and I'm still in my probation period. My husband works near **Clock Tower, Deira**.

Right now, I'm commuting by Metro and my daily travel is taking around **3 hours**, which is becoming quite exhausting.

We're thinking of moving to a different area that would be somewhere in between **Deira and Jebel Ali**, so that the commute is more manageable for both of us.

We're currently living in a **1BHK** and would like to continue with a 1BHK. Our budget is around **AED 50–60K per year** for a 1BHK, based on what we've seen in online listings so far.

We're also considering whether we should:

* **Move to an area close to a Metro station** so that we can continue using public transport, or
* **Move to an area that may be farther from the Metro and consider buying a car**, if that would make more sense for our daily commute.

So I'd really appreciate some advice from people who live in Dubai or have had similar commutes:

* Which areas would be a good middle ground between **Deira and Jebel Ali**?
* Is it better to prioritize **being close to a Metro station**, or would getting a **car** make more sense?
* Safe and comfortable areas for a couple with **1BHKs around AED 50–60K**
* Good access to supermarkets, restaurants, etc.
* Most importantly, somewhere that can reduce my commute without making my husband's commute too difficult

I've been looking at different areas, but it's difficult to know what the actual daily commute is like.
