Parenting with covert narcissistic mother?

Does anyone have experience with this? We don't live together and are not together, our baby is about 8 months old now. She will only let me see her rarely, when it suits her, which is a handfull of times a month. Currently fighting for more time, have been since she was born. The mother feels betrayed and treated unfairly, because it seems to inconvenience her greatly if I come by and take the kid out for a walk. She says it's too much to meet more than once a week at most. Nothing really happened, it seems like she just wanted a kid and since the kid is here, she wants me out of her life, and out of our kids life, for no reason other than that she doesn't feel like it.

Lawyers are involved at this point.

Any tips, anything I should do or not do in this situation?
