12v vs 4th gen?

Just seeing opinions. I like the older trucks, a 12v manual would be great. I currently have a 2011 Cummins 3500. I make payments on it, nothing crazy. But I did have to put new fuel system in it maybe 20,000 miles ago, currently has 150,000 miles. Transmission is okay but shifts hard if I’m in tow haul mode.

I really like the simpler trucks. I know the 12 valves are great but just weighing options. Any suggestions would be great.

Honestly just seeing which is a better truck. If I’m not making $$$ with the truck I don’t like payments lol.

I’m looking at a 1996 with a 5 speed manual 12v not to much rust and 200,000+ miles and no payments or do I keep payments if it’s better.
