31M | Gurgaon | Looking for a genuine connection that could turn into something lasting

Not sure if Reddit is the right place for this, but I guess good people can show up anywhere.

A little about me

I'm originally from Yamunanagar, spent most of my life in Punjab, and moved to Gurgaon last year for work.

I work in strategy consulting, currently working with WealthTech firms in the US. I genuinely enjoy what I do because it keeps me learning and constantly exposes me to new businesses, ideas and problems.

Outside work, I'm probably much simpler than my job sounds.

I'm someone who enjoys long conversations more than loud parties. I love reading - one of my dreams is to eventually have a home library that's actually used, not just for decoration.

I'm into fitness and enjoy playing chess, table tennis, badminton and pickleball. I'd love to discover new activities, hobbies and experiences with the right person.

I'm not someone who constantly plans trips or has a travel itinerary ready. But if there's a plan, I'm almost always up for it. I want to travel across Europe someday, and honestly, the person I'm travelling with would probably matter more to me than the itinerary.

I also enjoy investing and occasionally fall down random rabbit holes about business, psychology, history or anything else that catches my curiosity.

A few things on my bucket list

- Travel across Europe

- Skydiving

- Scuba diving

- Learn the violin eventually — there's something about the difficulty and patience it demands that strangely appeals to me

- Get fit enough to run a marathon

- Build that home library I've been talking about for years

Family is an important part of my life. It's just me and my parents. They live independently in Punjab, and we're quite close.

What I'm looking for

- I'm attracted to intelligence and curiosity.

- Someone ambitious - not necessarily career-obsessed, but someone who has dreams of her own, wants to build a life she is proud of, and wants a partner who can be a part of that journey.

- I'd love to learn from her, grow with her, and hopefully give her the same space to pursue her own ambitions.

- You don't need to share all my interests. In fact, I'd probably prefer someone who can introduce me to things I know nothing about.

- Kindness, emotional maturity, mutual respect and good communication matter much more to me than having identical hobbies.

- If you're religious/spiritual, that's a plus for me, although I wouldn't want that to be the sole basis of compatibility.

On the lifestyle side, I'm a non-smoker and non-drinker, and would prefer someone who isn't a chain smoker or heavily into alcohol. The occasional drink is absolutely fine.

And obviously, honesty and loyalty aren't negotiable.

Ultimately, I'm looking for a teammate - someone with whom life feels lighter, conversations never feel forced, and silence is comfortable too.
