Story Time!
(This is for the ones who are upset because they can't be with the one they love, because I know how it feels.
Btw, this is my very first post, so no harsh criticism, please!)
This is the story of how I(14F) fell in love with another girl, and how I found out that I'm bi.
So, it all started on the first day of 8th grade. I met my best friend (Let's call her P) and got to know the rest of my classmates. Including her.
I knew about this girl (let's call her R) since 3rd grade. She was smart, pretty, extroverted. But I never got the courage to try and be friends with her. But new year, new beginnings. I thought, "I'll get close to her this time."
The rest of the year went great. I was doing well in school, R was too. I didn't talk to her as much as I would've liked, but thanks to my best friend P, we got pretty close.
And then we went on a school trip. It was great, nothing much to say about that. On the bus returning back, we had a lot of fun. We played a lot of music, everybody danced. And then I looked at R, who was on the seat in front of me.
It was the first time I had taken a good look at her. Her curly hair, pretty face, and the sweetest smile anyone could have. I had never had a crush on anyone before. But I knew at that moment, that I wanted her.
I was thinking about R all the time now. Everytime I got close to her, I thought of asking her out. I came out to my friend P. She supported me, thankfully.
And then, I decided to tell R that I liked her. I gave her a letter, saying that I thought she was pretty and I wanted to be more than her friend.
"The worst she could do is say no and never talk to me again, right?" These were my legit thoughts.
And the worst did happen.
She practically ghosted me. Ignored me. I was dead to her. And she was P's best friend as well. Was she homophobic? I don't know, maybe. And while distancing herself from me, she also took my best friend away. I played it cool. I respected her decision, never talked to her again.
We are still in the same class. My attraction for her has faded, but it still hurts, everytime I look at her. Thinking of what could have been.
But this was still an important event for me. This confirmed that I liked girls, and that I was bisexual.
The end.
(Ok, to those who actually read all of this, thank you so much!! Hope this post has helped anyone in any sort of way.)
