One of Gamescom 2026's biggest surprises was **1001 Threads of Mizan**, and we had the chance to go hands-on with its co-op adventure.

Blending fast-paced melee combat, flying carpet traversal, and giant mythological bosses, the game already shows plenty of potential despite a few rough edges.

**Our first impressions:**

* Flying carpets are used for both exploration and dodging massive boss attacks
* Three playable heroes, each with distinct weapons and combat styles
* Designed by developers with experience at **BioWare, Bungie, and Ubisoft**
* Combat feels promising, though dodging and evasion still need refinement

The blend of Arabian-inspired mythology, cooperative gameplay, and cinematic boss battles gives **1001 Threads of Mizan** a unique identity. With a little more polish, it could become one of the most memorable co-op action games to come out of Gamescom.

# 💬 Does the idea of battling giant mythical creatures while soaring on a flying carpet sound like your kind of co-op adventure?
