Anyone know a good redesign of Alastor's staff for a proper mobility cane for cosplay?

My lover is cosplaying as Alastor for an upcoming Con but she has mobility issues and uses a cane. I'm able to make canes, I just don't know a good redesign of Alastor's staff to keep it looking like his staff while making it functional
