Have the laparoscopy or try to get pregnant? Experiences please?

Surgery related

Hi all, any advice or experiences will be greatly appreciated. I am 35 (and a half) years old. I have had horrific period pain and back pain since I was 14. Almost 4 years ago my pain started also appearing really badly around ovulation. For about 5 days I am swollen, constantly need to pee and can feel the pain in my right hand side of my ovary. I've been offered an MRI and Lapracospy now. I had a transvaginal and tummy ultrasound where both showed everything to be looking good.

Thing is, we were looking to try to conceive come December and now I don't know what to do.

  1. Should I put off the Lapracospy and try to get pregnant. I've heard people with endo can suffer a lot during pregnancy, especially pain in the pelvic region. However, would pregnancy sort the pain out? I might not even have endo but I'm pretty convinced.

  2. Or get the surgery. However, I will require recovery time. Don't know how long that would be? Will having the surgery cause damage and make it harder to conceive, if we don't know how easy or difficult it will be for me.

My age is worrying me. If I was younger I would take the surgery no bother. I'm 36 in March husband will be 37 next year.

I only have pain on my period and ovulation. It's debilitating though and I am on lots of pain meds like Mefenamic acid, Napaproxen, Co-codamol, Ibuprofen and paracetamol.
