Is wearing a kilt if not Scottish offensive?
Hi Reddit,
I’m going to a festival this weekend and planning to wear a kilt. Been wanting to wear a kilt for a very long time and I’m pretty excited about it. But I wonder if it would offend anyone.
For context, I’m not Scottish nor British for that matter.
Please not this is also coming from a place of love and appreciation for the outfit itself and the Scottish culture surrounding the kilt. I find it to be a beautiful symbol of masculinity.
I did my homework and got a tartan that anyone could wear I read.
But I’m just not sure.
Any thoughts reddit? Please keep it respectful. Thank you.
