My husband wants to confront staff in shops over a man acting inappropriately towards me

I f (30) was going to the beach. My husband (36) was abroad visiting family. I didn’t go with him this year as my mum is very ill.
We were talking today and I mentioned an incident that scared me (it was a lot worse than anything I told him!).
I decided to make a return before I went down to the beach, so was on my own, when a young man asked me if I’d dropped something, I said it wasn’t mine and he proceeded to follow me asking if I was Russian, Lithuanian etc. I got on with what I was doing & tried to ignore him. I put my bags down to so, he picked them up. He then proceeded to keep putting his arm around me & much more inappropriate things (I didn’t mention any touching to my husband).
We were having a heart to heart about improving our relationship and I told him about this situation. It affected me afterward, this is very unusual for me. I’ve had a lot happen to me, normally by strangers, and much worse, it doesn’t normally bother me afterward. I went into multiple shops as I thought someone would help me. No one did.
It got a lot worse and I was prepared to lose all my belongings. I saw a taxi and walked over to it, the man came with me and was trying to get into the taxi as well. I told him again to ‘give me my bags back & go away’. At this point he finally gave me my bags. I told the taxi driver not to let him in, and leave. The taxi driver told me I was hard on the man, who was clearly infatuated and a real gentleman for carrying my things for me - his comments p’d me off and I just cried.

During our conv my husband was talking about not reacting out of anger, and treating me better etc. I told my husband the incident had shaken me up a little. I didn’t go into the details of other things this man did, I just said he took my bags, it was the middle of the day and I couldn’t get anyone to help me.
My husband now wants to go into the shop where this happened, demand to see cctv, and know why no one helped. I obviously don’t want this to happen, I don’t want to revisit any of it but he’s taking time off work to do so.
I need him to leave it but he will think I’ve done something wrong if I don’t just go through with it now. Nothing I’ve said so far will get him to leave it. I just want to leave it! Any ideas or suggestions please?
