What is wrong with matchmaking lately?

Just like the title says. I'm at Rank 2, around Level 100. My teammates are still at Rank 1. We keep getting matched up against teams with players at the maximum level. Basically, every game ends with us winning the teamfight after landing, but as soon as we leave the first location, we get killed from a kilometer away, before we even realize where the shots are coming from. And it doesn’t matter if I’m playing solo, duo, or squad. In 90% of cases, these are players at the max level. How am I supposed to git gud if I die the moment I stick my head out? We’re a team of working dads, and this is slowly taking the fun out of the game for us… we play for 2 hours 2-3 times a week. I don’t mind waiting longer for a match, but please match us with players at a level similar to ours. I know that level is just time spent in the game, but it’s still time spent in the game. We’re slowly getting better, but the gap is still huge…
