seeking asylum from azad kashmir

UK

salam! my family is from azad kashmir. it has been 80+ days of no internet, heavy military presence, armed forces harassing and shooting peaceful protestors, and so much brutality. things are getting worse by the day. there are food shortages, schools and hospitals are closed, and all roads are closed. peaceful protestors are also being arrested or having false firs filed against them. kashmiri students in isb/pindi are being detained for protesting. i don’t see peace coming to ajk anytime soon. it is no longer safe for kashmiris here.

i want to help my younger cousin leave the country for his safety and for better opportunities. he is only 19 and needs a way out. his family is also very poor and cannot afford to send him to university here or apply for a student visa. i’m trying to help them as much as i can. there is no other man or breadwinner in their home.

what is the best option for someone in his situation to leave pakistan? how are they supposed to leave pakistan safely and seek asylum when there is a risk of being captured? the situation in azad kashmir is getting worse by the day, and the pakistani government has labeled protesters as terrorists and announced a military operation in ajk just today. i’m really worried about their safety, especially because there is currently no way for me to contact them.

immigration laws are also so strict these days. i live in the usa, but there’s no guarantee what trump can do, and he’s very unpredictable. what countries can pakistanis seek asylum in? what are the chances of actually making it to another country and being granted asylum these days?

i want my cousin to go to the uk because his sister is there, but she cannot sponsor him at the moment due to her own visa issues.

can someone please help me or point me in the right direction? i’m desperate to find a safe and realistic way for him to leave pakistan and start a better life.
