2026 Aprilia RS 457 GP Replica as a first A2 bike – good choice or better alternatives?

I’m a new rider and I’m currently looking to buy my first new A2 bike.

So far, the 2026 Aprilia RS 457 GP Replica is the bike I like the most. I really like the looks, the weight, the engine and the overall package.

However, I’ve read a few things online about the RS 457, especially that the brakes are not that great and that the stock tires are also not the best.

Because of that, I wanted to ask people who actually own or have ridden one:

Is it really that noticeable in normal street riding, or are these problems mostly exaggerated?

Have you had any other issues with the bike, especially with the 2026 model?

I’m also considering some alternatives like:

  • Kawasaki Ninja 500
  • Kawasaki Z500
  • Honda CBR500R

For a new A2 rider, which one would you choose?

I’m mainly looking for something that is fun on twisty roads, reliable, not too difficult for a beginner, but also something I won’t get bored of too quickly.

Would you still recommend the RS 457 GP Replica, or would you go with one of the Kawasaki or Honda options instead?

Thanks for any experiences or advice!
