Mangaluru's Railway region is finally moving to SWR (Mysuru Division)—will this actually fix Bengaluru train connectivity, or is it just administrative shuffling?
After years of demands, the Railway Board approved shifting Mangaluru area stations (Central, Junction, Panambur) from Southern Railway (Palakkad) to South Western Railway (Mysuru).
Southern Railway was always accused of prioritizing Kerala trains over Coastal Karnataka's connectivity to Bengaluru and North Karnataka. Now that SWR takes over, do you think we'll actually see more overnight trains to Bengaluru, better frequency, and modernized station infrastructure, or will bureaucracy keep things stalled? What’s your take?
