My First Deity Win ever - used Nkronko (Greece)

After years of playing I figured I should finally try Deity. Did random map and leader. Got Dido (Greek) and everything was going fine. I was in the middle of the pack for the first half of the game. Then Tahmirlh declared war on me. At this point her army was massive compared to mine. I played defense for a while whittling down her forces. Eventually we made piece.

It was short lived as she declared war on me 20 or so turns later. This time I was ready. Her walls were not prepared for my bomber squadrons. As they tumbled I rapid climbed in the rankings. By the time she only had a couple of cities left, Felipe thought he would fare better.

At the time he was at the top of the rankings with an even larger army. It lacked 1 thing though, Air Defense. I quickly finished off all but one of Tahmirlh's cities and made piece, fully knowing it would rebel and eventually join the gloriousness of Greece. My attention free to focus on Felipe, I began to steam roll north, taking his cities 1 by 1.

Then it happened again. Vietnam declared a surprise war on me. The problem here was that it was on another continent. Luckily for me I had a couple of Air Craft Carriers ready. Started with he coastal cities and moved inward until 1 or 2 remained.

You would think that the other nations would have learned by now not to declare war against me. Abe Lincoln obviously thought Murica would be different. By this point I was a bit tired of all the wars so I just razed the cities using GDR's. I had to be quick though as it was a race to see if I could eliminate him before completing my science victory.

If none had declared war on me I may not have won as I was really trying to not play the domination game.
