Toddler has HFM 😩

TL;DR any positive stories on toddler having it but baby doesn't get it? OR infant under 5 months gets it but is fine... I'm spiraling 😢

19 month old, tomorrow is day 4 since start of symptoms and today the rash just spread from his face only to a few spots on hands, feet and buttocks... if the blisters themselves are contagious how do we protect our 3 month old? Like we don't wear shoes in this house but do we need to keep him in socks or... and I mean, he'll want me to hold him so what, every part of me he touches is infected? Do I change clothes between babies and scrub hands and arms... I'm just overwhelmed. So far my husband has been gracious enough to take off and keep him in his bedroom or outside to protect the infant, but now that we see it's hfm an going to last a while he won't be able to keep this up, I'll probably be back to watching them both tomorrow... looking for advice, tips, encouragement...
